August 23 , 2015 Executive Committee Meeting Minutes
The meeting was called to order by President, Jim Samsel. Officers present were Jim Samsel, Joe Podesta, Roger Ward, Kevin Lilly, and George Laverick. Two members were present in addition to the officers.
The minutes of the July 26, 2015 Executive Committee meeting were read by George Laverick and were accepted as read.
The Treasurer's report was given by Roger Ward.
The Executive Officer was not present to give a report. Jim Samsel indicated that the range looked good when he was last there, but George Laverick reported that he had to clean up discarded cardboard backers on the pistol ranges on his last two visits. The Executive Officer needs to make sure that adequate 1x2 sticks are placed on the firing lines.
The Garand Op-rod has been received and installed, not tested.
Sign-In Logs: George Laverick has purchased to additional mailboxes and delivered them to Howell Printing for signs to be applied.
Range Officers: George Laverick has emailed Daniel Wood and asked him to contact the RSO candidates to determine when they would be available for training. No response received as of the meeting.
Plate Rack: Jim has been unable to contact Dave Eggenberger who was going to work on it. Todd Dabbs expressed some interest in helping. Jim will contact him.
Joe Podesta has purchased equipment (mops, bags, etc., to clean the restrooms at the Indoor Range after an incident which occurred. He requested reimbursement which the Committee authorized.
The Committee also authorized re-paying Dennis Eidson for servicing the tractor and his RSO training. He also is authorized to purchase a new battery for the tractor.
Club membership is currently at 347.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:18PM.
The next Executive Committee meeting will be at 7:00PM on September 27, 2015 at the ADPS Indoor Range, 240 Dupont Drive, Aiken, SC.
NOTICE: "Mailboxes" with sign-in logs and Waiver forms have been mounted at each firing line. Members and Guests are required to sign in on each visit to the range (sign-in at either pistol ranges covers both pistol ranges. a separate sign-in is required at the rifle range). Guests must sign a Waiver form on each visit to the range.
